A long time ago I read a sign that said: The family that prays together, stays together. As I walked past the writing on the wall, I thought about how my family had been split apart. I didn't know that when I gave my life to Jesus Christ, what I longed for most, He would restore. Rejection has a funny way of turning that which was once admirable into that which we least care for. For a long time, I selfishly looked to satisfy my own sense of fulfillment and discarded the ones that were supposed to be the closest to me. Jesus Christ has since changed my perspective about what is most valuable in life.
As a home school mom, I'm learning daily what it means to lay down my life, take up my cross and follow after my Lord. Battles loom in my mind about what is important, my will- serve myself, God's will- serve my family, needing constant reminder that children are a heritage of the Lord (Psalm 127). But God's Spirit wins and I find myself more and more in love with the people that surround me with their conversations, or stepping on my feet and climbing on my shoulders. They say, 'I love you, babe,' 'I love you, mom...' You're the best. Pieces of my life and struggles I share with you. Now, I want to know dear reader, what is Your Story? Please take time to give us a brief testimony of faith and family in our message box to be added to our page.
